PS4 mouse lag

Kinda hoped that SE would fix the mouse lag that exists on the PS4 version of this game.

It is most apparent for me specifically because i play the PS4 being channeled into my PC.

So if i place two mice side by side, the USB one for the PS4 and the wireless one for my PC. I then hold them both with the same hand and move them in the exact same movements, it shows just how bad the mouse input lag is on the PS4.

Moving the pair of mice up and down quickly shows the mouse on the PS4 to be slow enough to almost appear to be moving in the opposite direction as the one on the PC.

I really hope this is solved before the game goes final on PS4.

I am just going to assume you are somewhat new to technology with that statement. What the TV or Monitor displays has nothing to do with the software emulation of hardware input. This has far more to do with the software driver on the PS4 and SE's use of that driver for input into the game.

And yes, it will in fact affect me. If you have played games for as long as i have on a PC, you would understand that this severely affects your overall accuracy with a mouse. This means constant miss-clicks. Which in gaming on a PC, is extremely bad news.

Look in the config of your Tv/Monitor and Pick "Gaming Mode". This reduces the mouse lag.

This is not a First person shooter or a 2D Fighting game like SSF4. In this game specially for PvE the mouse lag will not affecting you. For PVP "maybe" but im sure setting Gaming mode on your TV/Monitor Will help you.

My main games atm are Call of duty Ghosts and Battlefield 4 on PC.

Also i enjoy a lot of SSF4 and KOFXIII on PC.

I play competitive level in those games and im really "Sensitive" to the input lag.

I hope you dont feel offended. But i find a exaggeration complain for input lag in a MMRPG and this game is not even an action mmrpg like pso2 or TERA.

using mouse on PS4 ver of FFXIV, very laggy. I miss click a lot.

SE please fix it

I've been using a mouse with my PS4 since this came out and there is 0 lag on either my TV or PC monitor. Is there a delay when you use the controller? If yes, then crazyvic's solution isn't incorrect. The game mode on a television reduces the time a television spends processing a signal (typically) before displaying it. It can also negatively impact the image. It's just a way to attempt to work around issues of cheap/older LCD screens.

My other suggestion may be to try a different mouse. I'm not ruling out the probability of a driver compatibility issue, as I'm not sure how Sony handles this, if it even uses anything other than a "generic" usb profile for mice/keyboards. I've got a Cyborg R.A.T. 5 attached to a $2 usb extension cable, and it's perfect. I also use a wireless USB keyboard from Logitech. The TV in use is an oLED Samsung 55" with 9ms latency, and the pc monitor is an LED Samsung 27" with 2ms latency. These work perfect when attached to either of the screens.

I'm 90% sure it isn't on SE's end. I don't use a mouse on my PS4 for this game but I DO use a keyboard. My roomate does the same and we both have problems where our keyboard is "laggy". If we type too fast it doesn't register some of the key presses at all, or even worse, it'll literally type random gibberish, keys on the other side of the keyboard I hadn't even pressed. I once had it repeating "kfjh kfjh kfjgh" or something similar after typing really fast, it repeated itself 50+ times somehow.

I'm using a wired keyboard and my friend is using a wireless and we're both having this issue. I use a PC monitor for my PS4 and have absolutely zero issues with input lag on a controller

you can't feel the lag if u don't play on PC ver.

I was playing on PC since start so suddenly change to PS4 ver, I can feel the difference.
I use Razer wired (gaming) mouse. my TV is samsung smart TV 32'' 1080p
I can turn the speed up to maximum, but the pointer somehow is hard to move to the correct place where I want it to be.
I can't explain, it's just different than the PC. It's much easier to use a mouse on a PC somehow.

and my keyboard isn't lagging , also there is no delay using controller. but i don't use the touch pad on a controller, not used to it.
