Steps:
Made sure "Switch to 1st person view when fully zoomed in." in Character Configuration was not checked.
Not mounted, zoomed in all the way and out to make sure camera properly stays in 3rd person view.
Mounted Company Chocobo and Ahriman and zoomed in an out (using mouse wheel), camera properly stays in 3rd person.
Mounted Cavalry Drake and zoomed all the way in, camera goes to 1st person. Coeurl, Magitek Armor, Behemoth, Unicorn also go to 1st person when zoomed all the way in.
