I've been getting a error code 401 for a while trying to renew my subscription then edited my address and now i got a 406. Can anyone help me explain what the 406 error code means i'm not much of a error code master?

same here, even using paypal to add Crysta isnt working and is on their end because i see my payment as "cancelled" on my paypal account.
Same for me, I'd be interested to find out if anyone fixes this. It wouldn't be SE customer service unless it took you in a never ending loop with 20 useless steps that had nothing to do with the process. Have tried everything I can think of but they just won't take my money :P
Having the same issue! Tried everything and emailed support....why is this so difficult?? All because my credit card number was changed!

I was able to work something roundabout out to get it working for now but it would be nice if SE actually worked on the antiquated accounts systeml.
I wasn't able to resub straight up or buy crysta with my new card through the SE payment gateway but I was able to buy crysta using the Ultimate Pay option and then choosing my debit card. It's SE's payment gateway that's messing us about.
Try this, worked for me -
Figure out how much crysta you need (mine was 7794 for 180 days, I don't know if it varies).
Go to the SE account management page and choose "Add Crysta". Pick an amount or type in what you need.
On the next screen choose "Ultimate Pay" instead of the first option for Credit/Debit Cards. Use your card or paypal or however it is you want to pay through this option and it should work fine.
Once you've got your crysta you can just go back to mogstation and choose to pay with Crysta and you're good to go.
It's a round about way to fix it but it got me playing for the moment. Worth a shot!

I tried that as well using the UltimatePay -> Paypal. The amount was clearly taken from credit card but then "cancelled" by SE!
It might have been because I tried using that card 15 minutes before and SE simply locks a payment option if it fails even after the first try (huge fail SE!!!).
I'll probably end up having to go to the post office (in Japan, so I can't use the time cards as they are region specific) and pay there (with the additional fees incurred).
I think they may have too many players and that's way to deter them from buying their services, hahaha!

Paraphrasing, here are the two e-mails I got:
1) It's not our fault, contact your bank;
2) We can't help you, but contact us by webchat or call us so that we can tell you live that we can't help you.
... worst customer service ever.
Same story here. Credit card expired, activated new credit card via my bank, filled out the new card info, started with error 401. Followed up by 406 after repeat attempts.
Tried a different card, linked to a different account, issued by the same bank (I have actually used this 2nd card to pay before) and received 406 again..
I then tried a work around - purchased an Ultimate Game Card online, and now it is saying that my game card PIN is incorrect. My initial thought was that the game card I purchased could have been for a different region but I later confirmed that it was a woldwide card.
I cannot use the Crysta alternative as that service is unavailable in my country..
So do you guys not want me to pay you?
