I pre ordered FFXIV but I have not been able to play since the last beta before its release. I can't make it past the start screen. I log in and i choose a data center then I get Error 2002 Lobby server connection has encountered and error. I did not participate i early access and I missed my first free month because of this. I just renewed my member ship hoping it would all be fixed but nope. Still cannot get past the start screen. Does any one have any answers
Try uninstalling and reinstalling? Sorry, that's all I got. :(

Most likely issues with your internet, firewall or antivirus/antimalware programs.
Install it on a family member or friend's computer (someone using a different internet connection. Even better somebody with a different ISP), and use your login info to try to access the game from there. If you are successful, then you can say with certainty that the problem is directly related to your personal computer/connection and commence trouble-shooting.
