Quest Icons

When I'm out questing, I find it a bit inconvenient to go into my journal, click on the quest, and then click "map" just to have it show me some far off random location that I have no idea how to get to. From past experiences with MMO's and questing archetypes, I suggest implementing a system where we can "toggle" a current quest within our journal and then have an arrow or some sort of guidance lead us in the right direction. Yes, I know the game currently has the ability to "map" the quest's target point but I find it painful to have to scroll around the map for a good 3 minutes just to find my location relevant to my destination. And with the enormity of the game in terms of maps and locales, I usually get lost so I'd have to repeat the whole process of going back into my journal, clicking on map, and then recalculating a path.

Another thing I find odd is that quest icons that notify the player of a quest do not appear unless I am near that vicinity on my mini-map. I find this very annoying. This forces me to constantly run around the city or area aimlessly, waiting for a question mark to pop up on my mini-map. Why can't I just open up my map and see ALL of the available quests?

I hope this suggestion gets taken into consideration because I am personally loving this game so far. It's such a wonderful experience with just some minor fundamental issues that are holding back further enjoyment.
