Inactive FC members due lag issue

A couple of my FC members that I know in real life have been inactive for the past month starting from 2 days, then several days and finally never logged on again, the words were - tell me when they fixed the lag.

Another few FC members says now the game is virtually unplayable for them without VPN like WTFast.

Perhaps this is just an independent case I don't know, just want to share that this has happened to my FC.

i can only play reliably using ping zapper. had random lag issues for months with no solution in site

I too need to use WTFast or else the lag is unbearable in instances. :(

I have friends across the globe thousands of miles from the data-centre who've beaten Turn 5.

Tell them to suck it up.
There are plenty of solutions to fix the "lag" that they're experiencing (if any).

There are quite a good number of occasions were 'Lag' really is just them not moving out of the way before the CAST timer goes off, NOT the AOE indicator.

I don't really think the lag is that bad anymore...it's been mostly fixed for me since 2.1

Of course, some people got new serious issues starting in 2.1, but that's a separate issue.

SE already 'told' them to suck it up, and the result is inactivity and later probably unsubscribe.
If SE and most of you guys think this game is better off without these 'whiners', I have nothing against it personally.
Like I said this issue might happen to just affecting a small number of people I don't know, and I can't do anything about it neither.

It's just how the game is set up. If you like the game, you will find the ways to make it work. I doubt they're going to change the whole server architecture on the fly to make the game work client side.

The lag made the game unplayable for me, I had to subscribe to Pingzapper to fix it. I object to having to pay a bit extra to be able to play but luckily for me I can afford it, especially as I pay less for my sub to the game as i'm a Legacy player.

not that I know of, the members in my FC who had issue with lag and cant do titan HM properly can now do titan Hm and EM properly after 2.1 so I dont know how extreme the lag your members have but that might be an excuse for not log into game anymore

The problem is how ISP route to the game, not so much the game it self. This is why WTFast and Pingzapper work to fix the lag. The only thing SE can do at this point is call the companies and try to convince them to fix it. I too have friends that use this as an excuse to no play but I'm starting to think it's just an excuse and they really just don't want to play anymore.

Does it suck for me to pay extra every month? Sure but it just means I just have to eat a sandwich instead of fast food for one meal.
