4-mans are stupid simple. I tank, she heals and those two DPS. How do things work with 8-mans, particularly having two tanks?
My next dungeon is my first 8-man, so I'm just wondering.

Usually there's enough work for 2 tanks and 2 healers. For example, one tank takes the big boss, and the other picks up any additional enemies that spawn. Each healer picks a tank to heal. Technically it should be work for 2 tanks, but if the tank is overgeared, they can probably solo the 8-man dungeon.
or with some 8 man content you need to tank swap, for example ultima hard, you get a debuff that gives you more and more damage, so you need to swap tanks periodically through the fight
Does it do more damage to you? The description only says it explodes at 5 stacks. :/ I never noticed tanks taking more damage when I'm tanking or healing it. But yeah, later on, tank swap will be more often. Healer also has a swapping mechanics like Titan EX rotating Gaol or Ifrit EX rotating Searing Wind. Not sure if Garuda EX's Friction rotates as well cause I never heal it.
Someone will be the Main Tank and someone will be the Off Tank. OT basically becomes a extra DPS unless it's a fight which requires swapping.
I suppose. I've never had any trouble with the basic duty finder set up though. Depending on the instance, sometimes I prefer to OT rather than MT. I usually only MT if the other tank is inexperienced with the fights. I just turn off Defiance if I'm off-tanking so I can do more damage and so I'm not snaking hate away from the MT.
