Myth Gear refund option?

This is just something I recently thought of. My FC is now seriously running EG stuff. I started gearing out WAR myth gear wise. One of our members, that started not so hard core, turned hardcore, and took that tank slot. So I went to take up my MNK myth gear wise, to come to find out, that one isnt needed today. NOW I have to start gearing out BRD. Really wish there was some kinda of Myth gear refund option, even if its only like 80% return in tomes, something would be better then nothing. What does the public think of this idea? Is there anyone else out there, that is in the same boat. Start gearing out a job, and having to switch gears in the middle, like 2/5 or even 4/5 pieces.

It would be open to widespread abuse. To have a trade in value it would have be as low as 20% or something.

The real issue here is how you were treated by your FC. If they just replace you just like that then you shouldn't want to continue raiding with them.

SE said they won't be offering a way to refund tomes. Why wouldn't you need a monk, though? They can do good DPS if played properly and are able to solo silences against ADS.

If you do want to gear up Bard, though, there are options available. Accessories are level 90 from the extreme primals, and you can even get a level 90 bow from that. Having mostly CT and crafted jewellery in other slots shouldn't hurt you too badly in the meantime; a large part of your DPS comes from your skill.

OH, well I should do some more research before postings things, my bad. Also, not really my FC's fault. I have all DoW to 50, and all are pretty well geared for freshly hitting 50. They just know I am able to adapt really fast, and am good at what job I am on. Thank you for the MNK solo silence on ADS, was always wondering about that, never got a shot to try it though. Will just suck it up, and roll with the punch's, and work on my Primal EX mode wins, thanks guys :D

I really don't see a problem with the idea as long as the tomes you get from return don't go over the myth cap, so there'd really be no benefit beyond not being bothered to do dungeons that week.

I know I bought PLD myth head then got allagan the very next day, so I went to put it in armoire and realised myth pieces don't go in there... I don't want to drop it cause that's a waste so now its just inv-1.. Would be nice if I could return it, even if just for half the tomes back or something.

You don't need myth gear to do coil. If you've got full darklight with a relic weapon then you should be able to fill any coil slot for your FC. If you want to go the extra mile, primal weapons, primal accessories and/or pentamelded crafted accessories are even better options that don't have cooldowns or are very short (primal wep).

Once you fill that slot, *then* you should start gearing that class with myth and/or CT gear. This way your limited drops aren't wasted.

If you take a slot, and then they replace you or want you to switch classes after you've already spent the myth/CT drops for it, that sounds like a problem between you and the FC.
