Ezorean Pride Parade (open to all)

I have a thought for a fun little event we could do this week (other servers feel free to copy): Ezorean Pride - basically a LGBT pride parade from Ul'Dah to Gridania with stop offs at Black Bush and Drybone for low level players who might not survive the Shroud on foot.

I suggest this as a fun event to promote community cohesion and to as away of showing support to the whole equality in events for the future (see the complaints about valentines day).

Date/Time: 12th February/20:00GMT
Sever: Phoenix (others please copy if you wish)
Location:Ul'Dah /Quicksand
Dress code (suggestions): Pink, bright colours, or the gimpware from the Moonfire festival :p

This is just a fun event idea for all players no matter of their gender or sexual preferences.

If anyone is interested say so and we can arrange this thing :D

If a Rep sees this can you just lock the thread please? That way anyone interested in joining the event can still see the details.

Notice: Please can we not have arguments about marriage/rights etc... anymore then have started in here as that's not what this is for! It's a bit of camp fun for anyone to join as an alternative valentines event not a protest or anything like that!

oh the whole LGBT thing lately might. be related to the valentines event and the current rampant abuse in Russia - yet some of you think we should have an Olympic event to celebrate to the Russian games.

Also as stated to begin with I don't have an agenda or political motives for suggesting this in a game, only thought if might provide a fun player organised event.

Anyway enjoy the sea of repeated complaints you keep pushing to the forum top.

Can we please stop with this LGBT ingame (or rather "in Forum") movement? It is getting ridiculous. Very few people truly care it the person behind the character in game likes this or that sexually, actually most of the people I met in game don't want to know ANYTHING about it so you don't need to go into details about god knows what.

Russia has mistreated LGBT the Olympics and nobody gave a damn about russia. Now everybody mentions it like it is the biggest issue around the world, I dare to bet my tail on Russias treating of LGBT people will be completely forgotten about 2 months after olympia.

Actually, yeah.
I do admit the subjects are getting a lil bit redundant and some times truly uninteresting but... It will always be thousand times more interesting than all this LGBT movement we seen lately.

Because as Hocchi and Kimikryo said, nobody cares about your sexual orientation, so stop talking about it .

As many others have already stated, people really need to stop making their sexuality a "thing" in this game....it's getting really old, and I almost feel like there's this movement to just shove it down everyone's throats until people get what they want in game or something. Granted that might not be the purpose here, but it's sure starting to come across that way....>.> As has been stated, no one cares what sexuality you are, it's a VIDEO GAME, not some rights movement for medical benefits and marriage. Get over it, please. No one is making threads bashing peoples' sexuality, or anything like that, so I really don't get why there's this "We NEED LGBT support in a video game!" movement going on....are people SO obsessed with their personal lives that they feel the need to spill them over into ever recess of their hobbies as well?

There isn't anything different about what you're doing, except that it'll achieve even less than it's real life counter-part.

Other than kicking up a fuss and putting yourself(elves) in the minor centere of attention for a few minutes, what could you possibly achieve from this OTHER than the fact that you misspelt "Eorzean".


It's like the Orange Men parades here in Northern Ireland to "celebrate" the Batttle of the Boyne victory, JUST to rub it in other peoples faces and because "My father did this before me, ya know!".

It's childish and ridiculous.

This is no equality, equanimity or rights you will achieve by organising an event such as this in a virtual world. What-is-the-point.
