How to turn off "Invalid target" and "Not ready yet" pop-up messages.

The macro system in this game is fairly decent and allows for the proper customization needed to heal without unnecessary stress and aggravation but there is one oversight/flaw that I cannot seem to get past..

Everytime I click a damaging spell macro that is using the <t> and <tt> commands I get a pop-up message (on my screen) that reads invalid target or not ready yet. I have turned off the messages in the chat box easily enough but cannot find a way to remove the annoying sound and text from my screen.

Please tell me this is not an oversight and that there is a way to stop this unnecessary annoyance. At the very least tell me that this will be corrected in the next patch, thank you.

It's not unnecessary, it is the fundamental of the alert messaging that you've taken an action that the target isn't valid, or the action is not ready.

I didn't say the alert was unnecessary I said it causes unnecessary annoyance to people making custom macros in order to make the game more manageable. If you are not going to add something positive to this thread/question then please refrain from posting.

There is an option to turn off these messages in chat, there should be an option to do the same with pop up alerts. I am just asking how.

I'm sorry this won't be a "positive contribution", but this option does not exist. You have to live with it until they decide to add this to the game.

Anyhow, I was merely pointing out the fact that these alert messages are part of your actions which is part of the interface displaying the progress of the action. It isn't there right now and may be tricky to dissect this part off from its purpose to make it configuration - it's not impossible, but I don't think it is a hinder, nor - as in the profession we call it - "showstopper" enough to fix or implement this. There are way bigger or more beneficial things the team at SE will need/want to implement first.

It's a relatively minor issue, but the overall effect is that it makes what is otherwise a fairly decent macro system appear to lack any sort of polish.

Definitely something I'd like to see options for as well. An option to not display the errors when the command is part of a macro would be ideal, otherwise an option to suppress them entirely would suffice.

you can turn the errors off, why they want the pop up to be able to turn off as well, i would like this too plz

chat settings > log filters > annoucements > Error Messages
is the only one available now

Character Configuration -> Log Window Settings -> Display recast timer error message.(uncheck this)

you still get the error message on the screen. they do need to add a way to filter it out tho it is annoying
