Spell Casting Bug: Offensive Spell NOT Fired When Rotating Character

Steps:
1. Cast an offensive spell with casting time (Fire, Thunder, Blizzard, Stone, etc.)
2. Hold down the right mouse button and move mouse, so that the character will rotate.
3. Spell fired but enemy is not damaged. (Spell animated but is not working)

If using healing spell / defensive buff (Cure, Stoneskin), the spell will fire and heals / gives buff to the character targeted. (Spell works)

Bug does not appear to affect instant-cast skills and spells. (I often spin around cameras like mad when tanking and causes me hitting weaponskill when not facing the enemy, works fine.)

Not a bug, you broke line of sight. Offensive spells require you to be facing the target, healing and mitigation spells do not.

There's literally nothing between me and that ladybug. I know about line of sight and this is not line of sight issue.

EDIT: Healing and mitigations spell also need line of sight to work by the way. Have you ever tried healing in dungeons with rooms, corners and obstacles, like Stone Vigil? Try it.

what he means is line of sight as in Damaging offensive spells must have you Facing the target to cast at them. You cannot put your back to a mob and cast a spell on it you must face it. unlike healing spells and mitigation spells do not require you to face the target. there is a very small window that is considered facing your target.

Its a stupid feature though and as a blm very annoying.

Ah I see.

I see this as inconsistent behavior in-game and I will treat this as a bug instead of feature until verified by devs / mods.

Use legacy movement settings if it bothers you so much. The camera will rotate, not the character.

its not a bug and its not inconsistent. If you are not facing your target it will not cast the spell, if you start to cast the spell and then Turn away from the character it will fail to damage the mob this is working the way its suppose to. I've never played an MMO that you didnt have to face your target when casting Damaging skills.
