Unable to update patch files [11005][20815][20866][19900][5]

My computer shut off last night due to someone bumping computer power button and I turned it back on.. kept getting error when I would open the launcher or after I would try to connect to database.. so this morning I uninstalled and attempted reinstalled now getting.. Unable to update patch files [11005][20815][20866][19900][5] C:/Program Files (x86)/SquareEnix/Final Fantasy XIV - A realm Reborn/Boot/ffxivconfig.exe.. SOMONE PLEASE HELP ME :mad: Im a everyday player so I need help asap please :sad:

(I was playing the game when it powerd down if this helps at all)

I have ran it on admin ive check the read only box tryd it then unchecked it like it was to begin with tryd again.. I don't see anything on the web about this besides way back in the past for betas... Im here still trying.. Can I get some feed back??
I Just bought the game for my pc from game stop and got the dl code and have it in the game stop my games thing if this helps at all

Update: I reported the bug in game on my ps3 still haven't got it resolved

Your boot folder is corrupted due to your computer powering down in the middle of the file/program being accessed (specifically ffxivconfig.exe).

You will need a fresh copy of the boot folder (Google "Boot Folder Final Fantasy XIV", or search the XIV Reddit sub forums) where you will need to drop it where the old one is and overwrite the old (you also need full R/W permissions as the folder is in Program Files x86). Once you copy/replace it over restart the client. It may update the client or push you right into the game.

Mechanical Drives are much more susceptible to these kind of errors as the needle can skip on the disk making valleys which cause bad sectors which corrupt files (or the power kills of the disk in the middle of a read/write making the file illegible).

When I go to my documents my games final fantasy xiv there is the downloads file and a cfg file named FFXIV_BOOT.cfg I don't see a .exe and I have uninstalled and completely deleted the final fantasy file so it remade everything completely as if I never had it and didn't work still.. im still trying to get this issue to work ive been at it all day ;/ I haven't got any info from S.E either.. any other suggestions and I did go to reddit and found nothing

i just wanna play my game man i investeed into a $1100 pc to get off the ps3 and now this happens to me can someone please help me or S.E help me ;(

Try a system restore before the date of the update.

other options.
right click your FFXIV icon run as administrator.
or
Uninstall and delete all registry files and re-install game as administrator.
or
Reset firewall settings after system restore and allow ffxiv see if that helps these are probably the only options I got for you.

ive done all that besides system restore due to the last system restore point was the day before i got my graphics card and power supply so cant do that due to drivers and other dls wont be installed id be screwed..

its happen to me.
as for power supply has nothing to do with system restore.
graphic drivers can be re-installed and fixed
uninstall game and use ccleaner for all the left over registry files.

it happen to me I had to reset everything from firewall to uninstalling game to fix it even digging in regedit. /ipconfig and flushdns also in cmd but since then all is well.

I got it before I read this message what I did was uninstall again then go into files deleted everything again and it worked.. sucks all my gear sets and bars ect was lost because of it but im back in and got from 15-22 THM lol Goodnight and thanks for the help
