I'd like to take a break from leveling once in a while but there's nothing to do. It'd be nice if there were some minigames or something. WoW has pet battles which isn't very great but it's something and pvp that's actually good.
How about triple triad, chocobo racing, gambling, something?
I suggest fishing after a long day of battles.
Gold Saucer coming in 4 months or so.
Till then, considering your lvl, there really isn't that much to do, unfortunately. Except maybe running Ifrit and Titan just to randomly help people out.
Or you could do Guildhests.
You can also start doing lv40 maps soon, though that would need a gathering class high enough to get them.
Actually, lvl a gathering class, maybe fishing as Torao suggested, quite different from DoW/DoM lvling.
I myself find random people who are soloing and give em a few heals if they are loosing. Then I run off to find someone else.
That or people watch.
