Event ID 41 crash error near Quarrymill
I had a few identical crashes back in October. Everything was running fine between then and last night. I cannot recall where I was in-game when it was happening during October, but the problem started for me last night when I teleported to Quarrymill. As it started loading the area, my computer powered down.
I restarted, went back into game and played fine for about 30 mins, followed by another power-down. Went back in again and suffered the issue after only about 10 mins. At that point I shut the system down for a while in case there was a heat issue my monitoring software was missing, went and ate dinner, came back and played GW2 for about three hours with no problems. I then returned to FFXIV and did an instance of Wanderer's Palace with no problems, ran around town and sold some things, then returned to Quarrymill to run combat leves and sure enough about 10 mins later my system powered down again.
Granted my sample size for the most recent set of crashes is pretty small, but given that it was happening back in October, then stopped after one of the small patches in October and didn't resume again until now I suspect it is due to FFXIV.
It has only happened during FFXIV play, not while playing Rift or GW2.
It has only happened when I am near the Quarrymill area, not when doing more graphically intensive things like King Moggle Mog or CT.
It was not happening near Quarrymill prior to the last update, as I leveled two jobs through that level range of leves and helped a friend level through them as well recently with no issues.
I have a few friends who have crash/connectivity issues that only occur when they are near the Quarrymill outpost as well, so I suspect there's something fishy going on with the code in that neighborhood.
