ps4 beta?

I'm trying to find as much info on this as possible. I know it starts the 22nd but how long does it last,will we be using new characters?

its the same account for you, u just transfer from ps3 to ps4 etc, but once u do that during beta u cant use the ps3 version :) not sure how long it lasts - I think until the official release?

Wait what okay beta starts Feb22 and once you go in beta so long ps3 even when it's not released to ps4. How stupid

I was under the impression it was until release also but thats a whole month free for ps4 users that never made an account with ps3 I also thought it was on its own server... Are we sure you can transfer during beta?

They said they are testing it on its own, but in the end its going to be using the same servers as everything else.

The way I understood it you would need to create a brand new character on the beta server to participate in the beta. Which is when I lost interest in it.

On the 22nd when the PS4 beta starts, you'll play on a completely new character on a Debugging server to test the client. This will be Phase 1 of the Beta.

On Phase 2 onwards, you'll be able to play on your current Characters on the real server :).

^Yes what he said. I really am not looking forward to making a new character for the Beta. I do want to do the Beta though to get use to the new functionality and new controller. I can't wait to see how the touch pad is going to work. The Focus Targeting is suppose to get much better...kind of sucks on the PS3 right now. Also not looking forward to redoing all my Hot Bars and Gear Sets...Come on SE.

Im looking forward to starting over atcually. quite enjoyed first starting out doing all the quests. Be a good chance to start in a different city state as well.
