Anyone know if 2.16/2.2 removes Myth cap?

Just hoping to finish sets for my classes. So they are all 90 and ready for next tier of content.

Yoshi-P probably knows.

I was thinking the same thing. If people are going to spam coil, may as well remove myth cap.

Conjecture: 2.2 will likely remove the cap on Myth Tombs, unlock coil for loot, and introduce a new tombstone of i100 or i110 gear to drop in Coil Turns 6-9.

With the kind of content they're releasing in 2.2, I can see the removal of Myth Tomes being a thing (We're using pages of a stone book as currency, not headstones from a graveyard. =P), the unlocking of coil for loot.. I THINK it was confirmed, but I could be wrong. The new Tomestone for new gear has actually been confirmed for a fact and will drop from Coil 6-9 and the Amdapour Ruins. Though I bet there'll be a cap on the new tomestones.

I guess we're back to spamming one (or two?) dungeons + coil for new myths.

They've already announced that they will remove the myth cap as they will introduce a new kind of tomes for the new set of gears. Source? Read the live letter.

You're forgetting Brayflox and Halatali hardmodes as well as Leviathan...
Chances are, I'd say, very high that they will all drop the new tomes.

I doubt myth tomes will be fully uncapped and coil will likely get the entrance lockout replaced with loot lockout a'la CT instead. Myth tomes I believe will just get a raised cap. Say 600 or 900 weekly max instead of current 450.

New tomes will probably start at 300 weekly cap, and be raised to 450 from 2.3.

I don't recall myth cap removal being mentioned in the live letter.

I doubt they would remove myth cap until they release a newer, better set that would take more than 2 months to acquire.
