Been thinking about upgrading systems? Now is a good time!
Hey everyone! sorry I haven't been my old active self anymore but felt like letting you guys know that there are some really good sales going on at newegg, cyberpowerpc, and ibuypower.
I just bought a new machine from cyberpowerpc, that would have cost me over $1000 handpicking the parts and building myself, and it's coming pre-built!
This is what I got:
CASE: CyberPowerPC X-Titan 100 MID-Tower Gaming Case w/ Side-Window Panel
CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.50 GHz Eight-Core AM3+ CPU 8MB L2 Cache & Turbo Core Technology
HDD: 2TB (2TBx1) SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64MB Cache 7200RPM HDD
MEMORY: 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3/1866MHz Dual Channel Memory (ADATA XPG V2)
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 AMD 970 ATX w/ GbLAN, 2 Gen2 PCIe x16, 2 PCIe x1, 2 PCI
POWERSUPPLY: 600 Watts - Standard 80 Plus Certified Power Supply - SLI/CrossFireX Ready
VIDEO: AMD Radeon R9 270X 2GB GDDR5 16X PCIe 3.0
HEADSET: ZALMAN ZM-HPS200 GAMING HEADSET [+0]
FREEBIE_VC1: AMD NEVER SETTLE FOREVER SILVER: 2 Free Games [+0]
KEYBOARD: (Keyboard & Mouse Combo) Razer Cyclosa Gaming Keyboard & Abyssus Gaming Mouse [+0]
It only cost me $755 including shipping. And one of the free games it comes with is the new Thief. :D
Also, to anyone that goes to cyberpowerpc to take advantage of these sales, make sure you mess around with a few different configurations, specifically with different starting bundles, as this will affect your end-price.
To give an example, this is one of their pre-built bundles with "free" shipping, http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Gamer_Dragon - on the FPS estimate it gets a benchmark of 24 with it's lowest fps being Tomb Raider ultimate at 9 fps, and it's highest fps estimate of 49 on Starcraft II medium settings. This is $765.
This is the one I went with, http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1FTCHV, it's $680 without free shipping, was $755 after shipping. This estimates to have a benchmark of 134, with it's lowest fps estimate at 34 on Tomb Raider ultimate, and it's highest, also on Tomb raider, at 116 fps on normal.
