[dev1017] Please dont make "materia" system that "large"

I dont know if I got 100% exactly how the system will work, but...

Just one thing: please dont make it with many stats and combinations like Augmented Items in FFXI were.

My FFXI quit was due to that too.

Too many equips (I mean.... same equips with different stats) with too many combinations... that used to make THE very nice equipment lose their value.

I'd prefer to have many unique equipment with few possibilities of customization instead of less equips with many customization combinations x.x

Just my two cent, dont know what other ppl would like! :) And, as I said, I might have misunderstood how the materia system will actually work

I think alot of people will expect it to be more then it actualy is

yes, itl add alot of things to do with your gear, but the overall affect wont be so gamebreaking that everyone will have to get totaly involved in it, or that you will be forced to slot your gear out with materia as best you can or be left out of everything

i don't expect it to be big, i would welcome it to be complex though.
the augment system of ffxi was extremely stupid. I dunno who invented this. I hated it And due to the many bad stats and rarely decent results : i know someone tho got -2sec on the 2 hr ability on an item... how great is that lmfao.
I think it was just a gear-sink of some sort. Pretty stupid idea though.

I think it will be a bit more then just equipping it on items but im not sure what it will be like and the speculations go way too far for me ... i hope ill see a positive surprise that is all.

Anyways, it would be nice if it brought something new to the markets, but didn't outshine the armor or other equipment they're used in.

If you wanted it to have a dev tag, I would recomend actually adding the dev tag.


And as to the question, I imagine itll be alot like the augment system but with more gear you can augment since it sounds like you can augment/materilize most gear that isnt a rare or unique item, of course no idea on the stats but i would imagine you get some pretty useless materia once you choose to materialize a piece of gear
