I'm thinking of jumping back on the game.
But I wanted to know how the population is for FFXIV?
I was going to try and pick a good populated World for me to join with a company/guild, forgot the name of "guilds" for FFXIV, whom is friendly and very active for me to have fun with! I want to be able to have a really great time here with new friends and make it to end game and just have a blast!

What time zone are you in? That seems to make a big difference if you are looking for a lively world.

Pretty sure Hyperion is one of the higher populated Legacy worlds. I would think you should be able to find some FC/LS to join.

Malboro is a non-legacy world and seems to be mostly EST. I'm on the Pacific and I notice everything is crowded when I log on around 20:00 and mostly empty by 23:00 (weeknights).
Our free company is still somewhat small (we're up to 30!) but most of the people are on EST. We're friendly too! We have some people working through the main story (like me) and a regular group doing CT/coil runs on T/Th.
I can't speak to the other servers. You might try searching the Worlds/Companies section to see if people have posted their raid times to get an idea of when they are on?
