No more red circles please

90% of the fights are dodging red circles and lines, may they be visible or not (ie titan bombs). Why can't we have more AoEs like Acheron that are visually pleasing and interest to dodge rather than the same old over and over again.

In fact why do all fights have to always be centered around aoe? I used to love Garuda hard mode so much because the whole fight wasn't centered around it.

I think more interesting mechanics need to be brought up. I'll keep an eye out for new coil and leviathan content meanwhile.

I'm all for more interesting mechanics in general, and also having moves that are telegraphed in unique ways. I think this is why I enjoy the encounters in CT so much because while there is a lot of moving and dodging as normal, there are also times where positions are key. Manning the towers, not leaving specific areas, etc. I wonder if Leviathan's platform shifting will be something that requires the raid to run to the other side to balance it again, or risk falling off (akin to getting knocked off of Titan's pillar).

What? Almost everything Garuda does aside from auto attacks is still aoe in some way... you just aren't given the privilege of being shown the area where the attack will hit.

Did someone just imply standing at a tower for 10 mins clicking a button was a good mechanic? Bro do you even tank?

I think they are mixing it up. A good number of the later/new encounters have things that are obvious to avoid and not just a red circles. I'm sure as we continue you'll see things varied even more.

of course any attack that's not single target is AOE, but failing to dodge is not the most important mechanic of the fight. the most important mechanic of Garuda HM is the MT moving Garuda the right way.

the community did this. it's perfectly feasible to have ranged DPS man the towers, do DPS and still click the button when it comes up. it's just that extra PLDs add so little to the fight the community decided all 4 towers have to be manned by tanks.

CT does have more interesting mechanics than run from plumes, eruptions and landslides; comets, skeletons (not necessarily more difficult but they are different).

Thats why I dont que tank for CT @__@

why i like the liquid hell mechanic in turn 5...rather a lot of mechanics in turn 5

no glaring red AOE, but still completely avoidable.

Better yet, a function to turn on/limit/off graphics or red line aoes. Helps those who with weaker systems.

I seriously doubt red circles/lines are so graphically intensive that they slow down your computer. You want to play on a weaker computer? Either get a stronger PC or turn down the graphics settings.


Also, the obvious red circles are to idiot proof the game.
