About giving and recieving commendations.

When I go into duty finder with one or two of my friends we aren't able to give commendations to the people that went in alone or through duty roulette and I think that's really unfair to punish the people who may be going in by themselves just to get commendations.
I always feel really guilty that I can't give the other players commendations, especially when I end up getting them even though I'm not allowed to give them because I went in with another person.
I think they should change it so everyone can give commendations as long as at least one person wasn't in the premade party, and just make it so you can't give the commendation to someone that was already in your group before you went into the duty.

I often run dungies with my OH, and I would love to recommend others sometimes, but can't.

On Saturday we went into WP for a quick week-tome max run, and we had the most awseome BLM in with us. He explained everything to the new Tank (Tank admitted first up it was his first run), and managed the last boss wonderfully.
Me and my OH both said to each other we wish we could have commended the BLM....but sadly we couldn't.
Thing is, he probably came out the dungie and thought "no commendations. what arses" :(

Agreed. Not that I'm specifically looking for them, but I've done runs of WP that have exceeded an hour's length just for the amount of explaining I had to do to both the tank and the healer the full mechanics of the bosses there. I am thorough because I want them to be able to explain the fight to newbies they come across. Unfortunately, I knew they couldn't commend me for the effort I put in to explaining things to them in a manor that made sense and was not condescending or smug. They both said they really would have liked to commend me but couldn't. I have also done runs where I've run with a party member to help them with a dungeon they have struggled with and seen some excellent performances by other players to help explain things that I really couldn't remember, but sadly could not reward other than give them a thank you for their patience.

The community, particularly at max level, seems to be getting more hostile and divided with every week so something that encourages people to be nice like commendations should be designed as effectively as possible.

Other than the daily duty roulette, I do 100% of dungeons with my wife. We get commendations and can't give them out. System needs fixing.
