Small question about the Inn

Hello everyone. Today, advancing a little in the history and the main quests I discovered one game feature, the inn. You can enter your own room and all that, and there's a bed...

My question comes here: "Do I obtain a better bonus for sanctuary if I log out in the bed?".

I know it seems a stupid question, but, I didn't find any information in the game about the inn, nor even asking to the innkeeper or in help (Or I'm blind and didn't notice that information). By logic... I guess it would give a bonus since you have to bother with going to the inn instead of using the return ability for going back to your home city. But of course, logic and the game system can be different terms.

No better bonus by logging off at the Inn.
(until 2.1 in the 3 main cities the sanctuary bonus was only in the Inn)

On a different matter each race has a different animation when going to bed :)

Having in mind that this game changes so fast, maybe someday we will see a bonus for it, because if it is as you said, with the 2.1 patch they downplay the inn, turning it in an useless feature as long you can just teleport to your city and log out there.

PS: I didn't know there was an animation while logging out in the bed, I'll check! ^^.

I really hope they bring back the version 1.23 feature of being able to check the bed for items/have a dream when you next log in (the nightmare with Nael especially was spooky) - I miss having that feature in ARR and really would like to have it again in the game.

Would deff be a cool idea... even if it was just a little bonus it still helps :)

Haha,yup. Now the only thing that the Inn does is to call the Aesthetisian (sp?), and if you want to call your retainers without having the Market place area lag, if thats an issue.

Apart of above already mentioned aesthetian and bed animation Inn is also the only place where you can access airmore and watch all the story cut scenes as well.

Just as a point, you don't have to log off in your home city to get your bonus. Any city or town that you go into (barring a few) will mention your having gone into a sanctuary. Logging off there, you will get the bonus. :)

A reliable tell to see if you thought you were in a sanctuary and actually weren't, there will be a log-off timer that cues. That means you weren't in a sanctuary and won't get the bonus.

There's a little icon next to your XP bar which indicates when you're in a Sanctuary. (Generally, it's anywhere with an Aetherite, but that icon will indicate if you're really within range of it or not.)

Originally, the three starter cities were inexplicably exempt from that within-range-of-an-Aetherite rule, and the only part of them that counted as Sanctuary was within the Inn, but now the entire city is considered Sanctuary. I still log out from the bed in the Inn if I'm in any of those cities, but there's no real need to anymore. Now it's just because it sort of feels right for my characters to go to sleep whenever I'm not playing them.
