Going from a 50 Botanist, to leveling Marauder I started to notice a striking resemblance in equipment.
The Marauder/Warrior axe is no where near what the concept art envisioned. Why are they even two-handers? Just shorten the pole and dual wield two of them!

Dual Hakken is the only thing I would remotely call a "GREAT AXE." Everything else kinda looks so small, warriors need to look mighty and ferocious, that's the kinda breed we are.
I was going to remark about that, how Dual Hakken actually looks big. I like the look of it. But I agree, with the movements and such, I think it would be nice to see the axes bigger.
I think axes are properly sized and am not the slightest bit interested in swinging a chunk of metal larger than my torso.
I also think the Dual Haken is absolutely hideous.
I think they look fine myself. Some I actually think are too big >.>
Some of you people need to tap into your inner-cloud. Chunks of metal larger than your torso is a JRPG staple.
I think your pictures are exaggerating. It will help get your point across much better to use actual in-game screenshots for comparison.
Personally I think the Haken is ugly but has about the right size. The Titan axe is perfect, the Ifrit axe is about two sizes too small, and the Relic could be one size bigger.
As long as they aren't "tera" size I'm happy with anything! It's always nice to have some realistic aspects to a game even in FF, but I do see where people are coming from. They are still similar size to the axes in FFXI.
I have this complaint about axes and swords. Realism is fine and all, but this is a FF... There should be more big weapons. They don't have to be comically huge, but they could be a little bigger and have more personality. Especially at higher levels.
Roll a lalafell, everything is big to them :3
