FFXIV PVP LAG ISSUES

i can't be the only one with this problem, its only a 15 seconds clip but you will get the idea...

I have comcast cable, live in san jose california and seem to get this 85% of the matches..

Why grind r30 if this is what we have to deal with?

None of this really matters, unfortunately.
It's the game itself, not any ISPs (well, for the most part anyways).'

Additionally, the changes they made for instances in the 2.1 patch (to reduce lag or whatever) REALLY screwed over some people, based on a variety of factors that I probably can't name.

The code of the game promotes 'natural' lag. It's incredibly silly for PvP, but works decently for PvE.

yeah i figured i'd add it since people will probably assume isp at first glance

so all of us get this 85% of the time?

we are all familiar with this unfortunately

i really like this game, its just very frustrating... they have to do something about this or the game will sink

Not to the extreme all the time, but this is sadly somewhat normal. Can't say I recall many games without seeing some form of teleporting, warping, skills not even going off and the like.

what really gets me is the ANIMATION will still do its thing, yet nothing happen?

I actually don't have your problem and we're not far apart (Comcast, Daly City, CA). I don't know if I'm just lucky but the only time I've seen that happen is when my internet completely drops for a few seconds (I should really yell at Comcast about that).
