FFXIV Boot Error

(Sorry if this topic is repeated, but I couldn't find a solution)
I tried playing earlier today, but upon opening the launcher, the entire section where you enter your login information was black. I spent quite a bit of time researching how to fix this, but the only thing I could find was to reinstall the game. I completely removed the game from my computer-all files, folders, etc.- and tried reinstalling. After this, I tried to reinstall the game the exact same way I did the first time, but now when I try to open the launcher, I get errors:

Updating the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Updater/Launcher version.

Which eventually leads to:

FFXIV Boot Error-
Unable to download patch files.
[11003][10009][10019]

I've spent a couple hours trying to solve this new issue, but all I find is others sharing the same issue without an answer to be found.

Additional info.- have the game through GameStopApp, but the download link worked the first time; I don't have any of the scorpion(files) downloaded that cause other issues; game was working fine last night

Guess it was a server issue- my game is working again.. for the moment at least; was able to download the launcher patches and am now re-downloading the main updates for the game.
