pets and knockbacks

is anyone else getting really frustrated at having to re-position eos every time she gets knocked back on fights like ultma and titan? I want her in the middle of the room so her buffs will hit everyone, but she repeatedly gets knocked back to the edge by stuff like vulcan burst and landslide.

i have pretty much everything pet related keybound so it doesn't bother me too much, and if you mean titan extreme, if you place her directly out of the center circle she'll be safe and be able to hit everyone with her abilities (i personally move her constantly after the heart phase though)

On Titan Extreme I usually Put Eos off to the side of the map, closer each time she gets knocked back. She usually can get everyone. It's really not such a big deal. It's a management job you have to be aware of as a SCH imo. Summoners have this same fate per example on Turn 5 especially if Garuda gets in the group for fireball when you don't want it too.

Imo - when I see Eos sitting in the back forgotten by other SCHs it makes me think at least I'm doing something right.

It bugs me because I sometimes forget about her. There's been quite a few times where I use her cooldowns, only to notice she's off in lalafellland.

Pet management is kinda easy for most of the fight except Ifrit Extreme. I need to constantly move my pet out of eruption (aside from the first one) or she will need a heal which i find sometimes i do not have the luxury to give. She will also need to be repositioned after every 'push' from Ifrit.

All i can say is, if you want to master SCH, pet management is one of the key criteria. We all need to learn to control them.

my other gripe with pets(both classes) is they summon on sic. what a drag, no one worth their salt leaves pets on sic. I should probably set up some hot keys for this stuff.

It never really bothered me until the other night.

Due to people switching classes between Turns 1 and 2, we ended up having only one viable silencer. I summoned Selene and said "I've got this", which was going fine, right up until the second node; Ballast had knocked Selene out of range without me noticing and when I came to silence High Voltage she wasn't even in range. We ate the High Voltage and carried on unhindered, but it annoyed me a little.

If a pet is knocked back during 'Place' or 'Heel' I feel they should always return to that point after a knock-back. On the other hand, if you tell your pet to 'Stay' and they are knocked back, I see no reason why they shouldn't just stay there.

Place Eos on the yellow Square on the outer ring to the right of Titan and a bit towards the group. After the first Geocrush she will keep floating outside the arena and not getting hit by anything but stomps.
