Why the macros system so complicated?

Greetings. Why developers made macros system, macros interface so uncomfortable? Why players have to write all this /, ", ac, wait*** and so on by own hands? Why developers didnt create just a macros constructor- the couple of buttons, corresponds with different commands and skills. So, players need only push this buttons to construct macros. Developers, please, make macros menu like a constructor. Thank you

We're lucky we have macros at all, plus in real life you would hand write macros, so why should this be different?

Like Maniac said, be happy you have them. Its not that difficult. If you need a list of macros, go to User Macros, into one of the command boxes. From there, type in "/" then tab. Should give you a list of everything macro related

Huh? Macros in this game are very simple and straightforward with no branching or if-else statements. Macros in WoW and other MMOs could approach the complexity of simple scripting languages!

coming from ffxi I do not find the macro system hard to comprehend, thought I know where you are coming from I have seen some mmo implement the simple drag and drop to macro. Which ffxiv does not.
