Please make the best drops from Instanced Notorious Monsters and not World NMs

The idea of world Notorious Monsters was great, but after experiencing the bad side of it multiple times, I vote for having more Instanced Notorious Monsters. I do not want to deal with people using death claim to hold NMs for over an hour. I do not want to deal with the possibility of people using some bot/hack to claim NMs before they even appear on the screen. To make it completely fair, all the best drops should come from NMs that are in instances. Of course it should require a challenge to get to the said NMs.

I like the idea but they cant just make weapon that would make other 50 weapon useless like aeolian scimitar and champion lance, people worked hard to gather and craft these. My hope is that those NM drops weapons and armors for the left apart by previous NM: Conj, Thaum, Pugilist and Archer

I agree that they should have instanced NM nobs but i think that they should drop gear that is just a bit better than the normal NM gear. I am a CON and the best NM thing that we can get is the bloodcry staff but when we compare to say the the end game equip ours would be as usless as a stick of butter.

I don't see the point, an encounter in an instance vs open world is nearly the same. The only difference is people occasionally having to compete for the monster. There's no real change in difficulty by simple having it within an instance. I'd rather them address the claiming and other 'exploits' and make more open world NMs.

if theres gonna be open world nm's then yeah i think they need to be the best gear if people are gonna go competing for claims and things. though i never liked having to sit around claiming in ffxi, i do think if they keep with the fast repops of ffxiv for even hnm type then this removes all the afk every 30mins for windows and keep nm's being killed all day long and this sounds pretty cool to me.

really it should be a very good mix of both endgame /instances and world nm's for our best gears, if i had to chose just one or other though, hmmm i might pick open world nm's since most mmo's are all isntanced. besides this creates a linkshell of players working together to kill over 6-8man clicks. though the easy peasy of the nm's we have now just is horrible, and the fact that yoshi made them even easier is a worrysome feat. not sure what to think bout that and where he is taking this game. hopefully not straight into my dumpster. lol

They need to what XI did later in its life.

Have more then 1 outlet for the same gear.

If instances have better gear then why would anyone do world nms.

World NMS drop it and so does the boss of an instance. (both groups of players happy... win win)

I don't like the idea at all and don't think one type of NM should drop better gear then another just because it is instanced. What if the open world NM is much more challenging to defeat?

You like competing with people using bots to get the claim before it pops up on your screen? Wait till the game gets popular and you actually have a lot of people camping the NMs you want.

This doesn't even happen in FFXIV.... I'm guessing there might be a few people with bots, but their effectiveness is limited due to the implementation of the NMs so far. They spawn relatively quickly and over wide areas. You don't have a single small room with 50 people spamming provoke. It's more like 12 people max running around looking for the pop. Most of the time, outside dodore, there isn't even anyone camping at all.

i think that can change easily though, soon as gear matters again and more nm's came out. i think the most populated and active linkshells have well over the 8players they need for these nm's. if theres finally some competition they will probably bring out 2-3-4groups happily. on top that they can all go do diff nm's when no comp. but the prob with bots i think can happen again if they make them good enough, and at some point they probably will><. hope not though cause it will ruin another game. game is just empty right now and lack of nm's, and on top that they then made them way super easy and drop rates are a joke. but i do hope they add implementation for both types.
