game GMs and cheating.

are their any GMs online ? the in game reporting system is garbage!!!!!!! these auto miners that mine in game need to be stopped. im mining an area and these speed hacking miners fly by me at light speed then then you see at the auction house the price of crafting crystals!!!!!. its a racket!! who mines 9999 crystals at a time?? the gms should take a look at the auction house to see whats unreal. its a joke and if it continues i wont be playing much longer. im posting here because the in game reporting system is garbage!

well that just sucks ! why dont we have in game GMs that can show up and see this kind of thing for them selves???. the bot i seen last night was the same bot i reported a month ago and still nothing, with this in game reporting system you could cheat cheat cheat because no one will do jack spit about it!.

It involves a lot more then just seeing. If you have played MMOs for a long time, you would know that bots are taken seriously and that they have certain protocols in dealing with them.

In some MMOs, they prefer to figure out what bot program is being used and what part of the system was vulnerable to it. You can block out the program and patch up the hole so future programs can not abuse the same problem. They are aiming at the root of the problem.

You can ban all the bots you want but they will just return. You block out the bot program and fortify the part of the system that was vulnerable to hacking and you deal a much bigger blow.

Players need to understand, the war against bots, is an endless war. Once you block out a program, a new one is simply developed. It repeats, over and over.

On top of bots, GMs also have countless numbers of tickets from all other aspects of the game as well.

Well its disheartening to see the same cheating players I reported a month ago still mining at twice my speed right in front of me!!!. I talked to a player in-game last night that was mining the same area I was, he new the bots were their as well, he said the cheaters are ruining the in-game economy, and I agree. I just want a level playing field, I PAY to play this game, and I would like to think that the GMs are interested in catching people cheating on the spot, and let the developers and engineers of FF14 figure out how to minimize the hacking programs that allow this activity. I understand that the GMs are busy. I can see the cross you personally bare for them, but that doesnt change the fact that nothing has been done for over a month about a specific cheating player!!!.

I have been pleasantly surprised by the quick response of the FF14 GMs or engineers, I logged on to find that they have permanently banned over 1100 accounts for illicit activity. Wow thank you, I feel reassured and relieved that my concerns will not go unnoticed by the FF14 team. thx again.
