Please extend Choco Porter range!

Choco porter is one of those unexpected features of ARR that I fell in love with. It's great to just sit back disable the hud and enjoy the sun set while making a journey on a budget.


I find that the limited travel options are a completely arbitary hinderance to a system that has so much potential to help quality of life.

Take camp Dragonhead for example. To travel to Gridania you have to travel to fallground float an re-hire the porter for only a tiny bit of travel.

Why not have Gridania on the list to begin with with the added fee automatically in the price of the travel?

Same with tranquil. I can't think of any reason why you can't let me enjoy a trip from tranquil to Ul'Dah while looking at the scenery.


Please help choco porter become the great system it can be and expand the travel options!

I just wanted to add that seeing people use this system and travel around the paths really adda to the ambiance of this game.

I rarely use it, but I love the hat the chocobo wears. It's adorable. :3

I agree, also wish they were a little faster than mounts so they were more useful. I loved using the porters before i got my mount but now it just seems kinda pointless =(

I love this porter service. I can take a break from the game and do something else for a little while the porter take me to the destination.

Excellent idea.
Even if I don't mind the tele costs, I'd happily spend a few more min on a choco taxi to relax a bit and take a break.

I think the pricepoint already nicely balances the slightly longer travel. I hope people will be active to let SE know this would be wanted. It's true that the limitation makes the system irrelevant to a large number of players. The limit of destinations however is completely not related to game balance and would be an easy QOL fix.

I'd probably use it more if all of the porter locations within a major area (Black Shroud, Thanalan, La Noscea, etc) were interconnected.

I also love the porter system. The travel time means I can plan to be somewhere and I'll know I can afk for a set period of time and when I come back I'll be at my destination. I use it in conjunction with airships more than I use teleportation. I am all for expanded travel options. (Like mor dhona to whitebrim.)

I always forget the Choco porters exist! Thank you for the reminder. I'll have to use them next time. :)
