How to optimize Healer DPS output for conflags?

As title states, I'm looking for tips on maximizing burst DPS on T5 conflags for both healer jobs.

I'm currently a SCH, and I'm doing something like:

-Pop cleric stanc
-Precast Shadowflare
-Use Selene's Spell Speed skill (we have two BLM under foe req)
-Instant cast Bio
-Spam Ruin and/or Ruin II

Is there anything else I can be doing to squeeze more dps out?

Also would like to see what WHM should be doing. I don't have any experience with it, but I'd like to give our WHM tips on DPS as well.

You have the right idea for SCH. Also, depends if you have the DS timing aligned to allow the tank to hop into the conflags. Remember that SF is a 30s skill: It should always be up if you can manage it. SCH, SMN, and BRD are the few classes that can also hurt the conflags that they are in. For WHM, CS'd StoneII and Holy are your best bets: depending on how mana is managed. In the divebomb phase, ballad should be up to get the WHM ready for snakes.

The larger issue may just be you have horrible dps if you need to do anything.

Unfortunately that's not something I have direct control over. I'd rather focus on seeing what I can do to improve myself and make sure i'm doing everything in my power to contribute before blaming other people.

WHM would be Cleric Stance+Stone 2 spam. Depending on the length of the conflags dotting them up might be slightly better, but if 40 WHM potency is the key between you killing fast conflags or not, your problem is either stacking too many folks for fireballs or your dps being undergeared/not skilled enough for the fight anyway.

I suppose the ultimate rotation for a 15 second conflag would be precast Cleric's + precast Holy, Aero 2, Stone II x 4, and Aero+Fluid Aura on the last GCD before it explodes.. Assuming perfect timing on the Holy, that's 1330-1355 potency (240 from Holy, 210 from full duration Aero 2, 170 x 4 = 680 from Stone II, 50 from the initial hit of Aero, 150 from Fluid Aura, and 25 more if the Aero gets a tick off before it explodes). It also burns a TON of mana and means the tank had better be IN the conflag, since you aren't healing him.

You can have your tanks hop into the conflag and have the healers DPS them but why do that when you can just keep healing the tanks while the tank DPS the conflags and do just as much damage to it?(or more if they have their 3rd combo hit built up)

It works out better if your tanks are the ones hitting the conflag.

WHM with cleric + stone 2 has higher potency than a PLD in shield oath doing RoH combo (we wouldn't want him in sword oath due to Death Sentence). MT outside of conflag also means heavy healing and debuff maintenance on tank from Death Sentence.

I save an aetherflow charge for Bane when I know a difficult Conflagration is coming up. Pre-cast Miasma and Bio II on Twintania, Bio when the blue icon appears. Bane as soon as the conflag pops.

The beauty of this is that you could cast the spells fairly early before the conflag icon appears, so you could potentially cast in between DS with plenty of buffer time before the next one lands.

Quick question on this though: Would the damage increase if I cleric right before Bane, or would I have to cleric on the initial casts on twintania to benefit from increased DOT?

Basically what she said. As a summoner, I start refreshing dots on Twintania when I see the fireball that comes before Conflag, then all my DoTs are up and ready to go when the conflag spawns. The functionality is the same for scholar, except obviously you'll have to use Cleric Stance.
