Unable to update after patch

Whenever I open up FFXIV it will download a small patch and will then give me an error after. I have tried disabling my firewall and antivirus software but I continute to keep getting the same error.

The error says
"unable to update patch files.
[11005] [20815] [20866] [19900] [32]" And where the launcher is located.

*Edit: I was able to resolve the issue by restarting my computer

I am getting a similar issue. Mine issue occurs while the game is updating, it never finishes, just gets this message...

Unable to download patch files.
[11003][10009][10019]

And that is all it says. I restarted multiple times, no luck.

I get a similar issue but mine says " Unable to complete version check [30410][30607][20457][404]" :((((

Same issue here, but i downloaded the patch, played a few hours, exit and get it when i'm about to log again.

Maybe the version server is down?

Getting also error-messages, tried to restart the launcher multiple times since yesterday as well as my pc even a reinstallation doesn't work >.> Also my pc starts crashing sometimes when the launcher tries to install the first update :/

EDit: Ok after turning off avast and my firewalls it worked with two tries ^.^

I tried this, doesn't seem to work for me even after a few reboots. I must admit this is getting frustrating.

Whenever I try to open up the program, it starts with the boot file downloading a patch, after it downloads it'll stay on screen for a moment before this message pops up.

Unable to Launch FINAL FANTASY XIV Updater [11035][32][19900][32]

I've googled the problem and have had no luck. The only solution I found was to mess with the compatibility options. I did that, and no luck. Anyone else have this issue? It didn't start until this latest maintenance.

I have fund the solution for this. The problem is that the launcher didn't write well the version on the file that store the last update version. Why it happend, i don't know. But here is how to look if that is your problem and how to fix it.

The file I'm talking about is on your instalation folder, on:

\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\game\ffxivgame.ver

This file is a simple text file so if you change its extention for txt you can read it and change its value.

So my problem was that in the ffxivgame.ver i have all black spaces. So searched all around internet (not really) and i found 1 of the few valid codes that go there:

2013.09.11.0000.0000

As you can see is just a date with a few numbers. So i put it on ffxivgame.ver making sure that i don't leave any blanck space. And it worked, sort of, now its trying to update again, but if you watch the info on the updater you can take the next update version code. So doing this a few times i end up with the previous update code and the last one:

2013.12.05.0001.0000

2014.01.18.0000.0001

So if you did update just put the last one, but if you want to make sure you can put the 2013 one and update the 25mb.

EDIT: Just to make it clear i had this error:

I think the 404 (usually a is not found error code) says that it didn't find the version that you have.

Mine started working again. My computer was restarted, and when I fired it up this morning, (after some Windows Updates,) it loaded up, no problem. Not sure what changed, but happy it did.

/Sigh oh good Im trying to Download the Client for my fresh build and it fails at 1 gigabyte of 10 Guess I have to wait
