Can we get voice chat on PS3 or PS4

I'm trying to do some coil raids and my FC is all in mumble chat and I can't access it because I choose to play on PS3 rather than CPU... A chat program via ingame/mainly in parties and or dungeons would be amazing and not use too many resources...

I am happy to say that Party Chat was implemented on the PS4. The problem with that is that non-playstation players and people on the ps3 will not be able to have the same voice chat system as those using Party Chat.

Yes on both accounts. On the bright side, party chat is amazing and works well. Ragnarok odyssey and Soul sacrifice worked great when playing with friends in different places with our Vitas. Hook up the crappy earpiece mic that came with your ps4 to the controller and you got a decent voice chat system. But how many people you know own a ps4 already, are coil ready, and plan on making the move to play ffxiv on it?

I am that's one... And I know one other person...

So is the mumble chat something I could access with my laptop, or would I have to use Skype and have the PC players I play with use Skype as well?

*I'm on ps3 and will be going to ps4
