accessing cross hotbars

I use two or on some classes three cross hotbars. Hotbar 1 and 2 have class skills, while hotbar 8 is shared and has general skills like teleport, return, summoning mounts, and so on.

Normally, I can use R1 to cycle between hotbars 1, 2 (when applicable), and 8. When I'm an arcanist however and have Carbuncle summoned, R1 instead just toggles between hotbar 1 and the pet hotbar. How do I access hotbar 8 as an arcanist? It doesn't seem like I should need to dismiss my pet just to access my other skills.

You will have to toggle the pet hotcrossbar option off. And the equip the pet commands you use, if any, to a hotcrossbar you use, or a new one. Also, if you still want to use the pet hotcrossbar, just press and hold R1, and select the hotcrossbar you want to use via digital pad or face buttons. Hope this helps!
