Crystal Tower Horror Stories

So, this week.. I did about 20 CTs.. i wasnt counting but i capped philo 3 times.. All i wanted was the tank body.. didn't see it all week..

Sunday night i go in with friends.. Feet dropped and i asked "shall i just get them" everyone said do it, this is our last run you dont wanna go away with nothing.

So i rolled, the other tank rolled too.. and i won the roll..

I wished him luck on getting the body.. as a good taru should, secretly hoping it didn't drop.

And yep you guessed it, the body dropped from Behemoth.. whats worse? he rolled a Need 1 on it..

aaaand wanna know what else?.. he got the achievment at the end.. it was his FIRST time >.<

soooo guys.. share your horror stories? bad alliances? plenty of those!! and anyone had similar experiences to me?

I didn't witness it first hand, but one alliance came in wearing bathing suits and were dropping comets on people

A monk disconnected and dropped out. A summoner joined a minute later. Killed the next boss and he got his boots. Left immediately... All of us was like LOOOOOLZzz

I had crappy luck my 3rd week. I had already gotten my SMN belt and hat and was aiming for the body. I did 13 runs and only saw it once, which, of course, I lost the lot on. Ended up taking the pants on the last run and just stopping since I had capped myth a while back.

On the non-horror-maybe-there-is-a-RNG-Angel-Watching-over-me...the next week on my very first run the Crim body dropped, lotted, and beat two others on it. It was fantastic. And then the next week, first run again, I went as WHM for funsies and the Royal Body dropped. Lotted and beat the other healer on that one. >__>; Too much good luck these past few weeks. Means this week is gonna suck for healer loot or something.

I can one up you there. A tank left right before Bone Dragon, but they started before he was replaced. Replacement comes in middle of the battle, locked out, and then rolls on tank drop. He wins, and leaves. At least your summoner helped kill the boss.

The wait as DPS was over 120 minutes, when it finally pops a troll tank(s) kept withdrawing for 25 minutes.
When i finally got in the other 2 groups kept dying to the trash mobs before bone dragon before they all LEFT...

Eventually my group left aswell.. back to queing in DF for another 2 hours :S

Had 1 where the withdraw/commence crap happened at ~45 minutes, then after about 3 minutes of that, I was back at 1/12 for another ~7 minutes, happened again for a bit combined with some flat-out timeouts (timeout on 2 DPS... Then time out on 1 healer... Then time out on 1 tank)... Then I was back at 1/12 again. Shortly after an hour I gave up.

Only way I ever get in in less than half an hour is joining in progress, and then I typically get stuck with a group that's at King Behemoth. (Or rooms that are glitched (Hit that a lot).
I need the Bard body from the Bone Dragon damnit!

Anyway, after seeing no bard drops but the boots (which I already have) this week, I said **** it and greeded a Crimson chest-piece. :-/

People also really need to stop dropping en masse once 1 or 2 people leave...

The off tank (I was in Alliance B), tanked the Bone dragon off of the MT (the MT was facing the dragon towards the back of the room where nobody was). Got to final phase and the OT got me hit by the massive aoe effect >.>, worst of it all is nobody took any noticed a healer was down and they killed the boss.

I feel super offended whenever there are alliance people who don't help their allies. It's super rude, seriously, I heal you guys all the time! It feels rude not to.

Today I'm having trouble finidng JIP's. It's absolutely intolerable!
