Moving the Chat Bar? (PS3)

Is there a way for me to move my chat bar around? I am getting some ugly screen burn-in on my Plasma TV because I can only resize the bar and the text size, I'd love to be able to move it around to prevent this.

Searching didn't bring anything up saying this definitely works, but my guess would be go into mouse mode (L1 + R3), click & hold on the General tab, drag and drop.
