Accuracy Cap in PvP?

It's obvious a certain amount of Accuracy is needed at this point. When I ran with 350, I missed a considerable amount of my attacks with no debuff modifiers. Now, running with 373 I tend to miss a lot less but there is still the occasional miss. I'm guessing the accuracy cap for Melee is around 400. The point is, accuracy is needed.

Any other findings?

Was going to make this exact thread.

I sit at 353 and miss a noticeable amount of attacks with no modifiers in play (Blind, Featherfoot, etc.), and the only conclusion I can come to is that there is a value higher than the 341 base to-hit for level 50s.

It's very hard to test even with parsing programs since abilities like Featherfoot and Attunement will register misses outside of a sample.

I noticed missing here and there when I switched from 378 to 341 accuracy, maybe that narrows it down a bit. Honestly I don't think I missed at all having 378 accuracy if I remember right.

We'll need more results to find a 'PvP hit cap'. This is important though.

Good thread. I've started to notice this as well. The annoying part is seeing the miss and insta-checking debuffs to see if blind is on.

I dont have numbers, but was missing somewhat frequently at 352, better at 368 but I still see a miss from time to time.

Nope you are not missing. It's just that pesky Blind debuff from Flash and Ruin 2. But is Acc important? Well if you'd ask me its important for DRG, MRD for other class that do not have a chain it can be ignored. Monk excluded cause if they miss they still keep the form, to some extend BLMs would want some too cause of AF/UI mechanics. But thus far my run around with BLM don't seem to have any problem outside of Blinds.

P/S: Interesting enough Crafted 55 HQ Wolf Caster gears has Accuracy all over it.

I think Taneshima might be right, seeing as how none of the Warwolf or Direwolf gear has any accuracy on it. Although if there were in fact a pvp accuracy cap, my guess would also be around 400 accuracy. Any higher and we'd end up having to use up most of our given pvp materia slots on accuracy. :(

As myself and others have said - we miss with no debuff modifiers. I've tested this very extensively over the course of 100s of games. I just flat out miss sometimes against any class with no debuffs.

I literally changed my hair 7 times yesterday.

The cap wouldn't be too hard to find through parsing.

Queue up 2 4man groups in an uncommon region G, J, etc. set up a 1v1 with healer support, Could probably run 2 different parse for a better results set in that scenario. just need 1 dps vs 1 person + 1 heal per setup

Maybe it's just me but I had zero misses on my time playing MRD partly cause I was using Allagan Battleaxe which has 39 ACC in it. Probably you'd want to start your test around base ACC +39~
