Hi,

Stop it. Stop complaining. You paid MAYBE $40 for this game, and you pay $14.99 / month, at MOST.

If you have played since 2.0 launch, you've paid probably something like $40+$15x4 = $100, maybe more, maybe a little less.
If you spend even 10 hours a week on this game that's roughly 160 hours. That's 62.5 cents per hour of entertainment.

You would have to watch a DVD 32 times to get that entertainment value per dollar.

You would have to play 4,608 holes of golf to get that entertainment value per dollar out of a new set of golf clubs.

You would have to pay $1.56 for a professional sports ticket to get that entertainment value per dollar.

You would have to spend 104 hours per month on the internet trolling on forums to get that kind of entertainment per dollar. Oh . . . wait . . .

You would have to play a normal, run of the mill video game for 96 hours to get that kind of entertainment value. That's every waking hour of the day for 6 days.


To make it worse, the developers are actually delivering sizable and substantial large content updates. If you are complaining there isn't anything left to do, its because you consumed all of the product that there was to offer. You spent hours and hours in the previous months farming and raiding and crafting and gathering. The fact that there is nothing left to do is completely reasonable. If you want more content, give positive feedback about how great this was and that you want more of it! Don't demand insane things that are far outside of the scope of what you could reasonably expect for the dollar in your hand.

The only reasonable reaction of rage that you should have with the content provided is "I really, really, really want to give you much more money to have more game to play!"

Sure, you can say, "I PAY for this with MY MONEY!" But you ain't paying very much.

P.S. If you are a hard-core player, playing something like 30 hours a week, triple everything I said above, and you can stick a $0.21 price tag on each hour of entertainment you have received.

P.P.S. / Edit - I am not talking about people who are mad at housing prices, getting CT loot they didn't want, or people that felt sexually harassed by the Meteor Survivor Ring quest in Camp Bronzelake. This is about the people saying there isn't enough to do each week. Apologies for the confusion, if you were confused.

So if I go to McDonalds and they get my order completely wrong, I have no reason to be upset?

If I buy a DVD sold as new and it has obviously been used and has scratches and won't play...I have no reason to be upset?

If I buy a candy bar for 50 cents that has worms in it, I have no reason to be upset?

Here's news for you: Cost has absolutely nothing to do with satisfaction. If you believe otherwise, I'll sell you my phone fEor a few grand. You'll be very satisfied!

Edit: And just to be clear, I actually love this game and don't really complain about anything in it. Sure, I'd love to get gear faster and have easier access to some content, but I'm happy. Your illogical argument is what annoyed me.

'Disproving' other people's feelings about the quality of their entertainment vs the cost is just as silly as the arguments that you're attempting to invalidate. IMO.

Do you think creating a thread that tells the players to stop complaining will do anything?

Will players stop complaining about housing prices?
Will players stop complaining about getting loot they didn't want due to the bad system?
Will players stop complaining about the withdraw spams when queueing for CT?

Did you buy this game expecting an MMO? Good, good. Did you get a platformer with NES graphics? No? OK.

They advertised an MMO with X features, and delivered it. I'm not talking about the people that are unsatisfied with the product, if they were, they had every right to return this physical copy or their digital copy via Mog Station. It's not pathetic, you are using that word incorrectly. Its assumptive, maybe, but I also provided other examples of dollars vs. entertainment that I think apply to a lot of people to illustrate how inexpensive the entertainment here is. My point was that this game is cheap and people are expecting things that cost a lot of money to produce. My goal was to try to bring a different perspective and to try to show people my perspective.

I can't tell if you are trolling, if you are ironically proving my point, or if you misunderstood that point completely. I'll assume the last one, there.

My point is that you wouldn't do that, and that the comparative value of this video is much higher than the value you get from purchasing a DVD.
