Lag spikes - stop motion video

To preface, I'm on a capable PC with a 75+ Mb dl speed, but ever since update 2.1 I've been experiencing some serious lag spikes where I never did prior to the update.

I've scoured any update listings and the bug reports and I see no responses or resolutions being put forth to fix this. I've talked to a few members of my FC and I will be following their path here shortly in cancelling my acct. The game just becomes unplayable and more of a hassle than it's worth when you're trying to fight against the server issues more than the game/instance mechanics.
