Retainers - Auto DC them Plz!

Hey everyone,

I know there's a lot that needs to be taken care of in the game, but please do something with stand-in retainers. The menders ward have been full every day since the patch, as well as the crystaliers ward. I don't see any other ward that would be applicable for the need of repairs. I continually see retainers that aren't selling any items or looking for repairs just standing and taking up space.

I'd like to suggest that retainers are automatically dc'd after a certain time-limit, or some other form of disconnection to offer free space for other players.

This should be at "Markets and Retainers" forum, not here.

But i agree...in special menders ward should work differently than others...only retainers seeking repair should be there and, once they got it, they being removed from there.

Actually they could even block the possibility of placing retainers at menders...people place the retainer elsewhere and, if it also is seeking repair, it will also appear at menders ward until the repairs are made. This would leave menders strictly for repair purposes.

I put this here because this is the suggestion forums. I'm not discussing the Market Wards or Retainers, I'm offering a suggestion in fixing it ^^

People could still put items up for repair for a huge amount price to continue to hold their place. So I don't think this would help.

I don't think this is the answer. I believe this would cause more problems trying to transfer retainers.

Not to sound like a naysayer though lol, I just think the solution should be simple like dc'ing retainers to rotate the spaces. Either way, they really need to do something - anything really because it's really bad lol.

Not really, because seeking repairs is as easy as walking over to the repair NPC and putting up your item for a generous offer of 5~10k per item. Often it takes no more than me walking away from the computer for 10mins to find them all repaired again. Using a retainer to repair it always seemed a waste to me when you could be using that bazaar space for something more significant.

And if you read the sticky, you'd know this is for site suggestions, not in-game suggestions. :)

One of my biggest gripes with retainers is that they used to be DC'd all the time. S-E fixed that, and I'd rather not return to that wonderful experience of "retainers not where you left them" like you suggest.

There are a lot of things that can be done to improve the market wards. This suggestion is rather regressive; I'll support any progressive suggestions though.
