Content like Gods in Sky or Jailers in Sea (FFXI)

Hi all, I would like to know what everyones opinion is about such content where groups would farm items to spawn monsters which drop items to spawn even bigger monsters (like Kirin or Jailer of Love/Absolute Virtue).

Is such kind of content outdated and of nobodies interest, or are there more people like me that would love that kind of stuff to be implemented in XIV?

They already have plans for sky and/or sea type stuff, but it will not show up until expansions. No word on farm>pop stuff yet, but with how horribly King Behemoth and Odin are currently, I would expect this type of content to show up eventually.

I'd love them to bring such stuff :) well hopefully they do it as you mentioned. Also i'd like it to be challenging so FC's would maybe have more things to put on a event-schedule.

I would love content like

Einherjar
Walk of Echoes
Void Watch ( Without the proc system)
Legion
Limbus

But Seriously Sky No thanks. 5 hours of Farm for 5 mins of fun. Kirin, was "fun" because the fight had a duration of 30 mins but the hours of farm was insane.

Sea "No" is like sky but with a bit less grind.

Dont get me wrong, Genbu, Byako, Suzaku Seiryu, Jailers, Absolute Virtue was epic fights. Fights ARR do not have Fights ARR will envy.

I would love it. But until SE abandons the FATE concept it would turn into Behemoth and Odin. A lag filled, pointless zerg, for vendor trash worthy vanity gear.

Adding something like sky and sea, does not need to be exact. But something you can do when ever you want, with 4 to 40 people, that last a long time would give this game a hell of a lot more longevity, a real reason to be in a guild, and a reason to play more then 6hrs a week.

Unfortunately it is something that worked well in XI and made SE hundreds of millions of dollars, SO IT IS THE DEVIL CANNOT BE IN XIV. INSTANT GRATIFICATION ONLY!!!!!!

I agree with Limbus and such. Einherjar and WoE we more or less have already. It is what Bahamuts Coil is short instanced fight. A short progression based fight where you move up a latter until you kill a boss.

It's been said in another thread, but I'd love a Nyzul Isle type of dungeon with randomized objectives per floor.

Small groups, timed so you can't progress too far in one sitting, progress saved upon completing a set number of floors. Gives you something to work at in between doing other stuff.

it got mentioned in serval threads before, i would be 100% for this Kind of System if they go back to RNG with this Content and without the lockouts we have atm. I also have to mention if they bring back such things like sky and sea it also should work like in XI.

to be honest, i wouldnt Count on it anymore because they would have to Change some aspects in the game or have to make 2 different ways of Content to make Players like me happy. Also i have to mention this Kind of System got flammed because ppl are scared about competition out there and dont want to farm hours a day just for a single spawn of a god.

the FFXIV sea & sky type of stuff will be noob stuff so you can speedrun it and zergs while killing adds and dodging aoe. then people will fail and beg for a nerf.

This is the most believable thing I've heard, especially with lockouts and progression.
