Hidden achievements?!
So I dislike fates. They aren't fun. So when the starlight celebration event was a fate based one I didn't want to do it. But luckily, there was no achievement for it! Or so I thought.... It was actually just a hidden achievement and even the wiki had no information on an achievement for the event either while it was going on. So assuming there was no achievement and seeing nothing worth getting out of the rewards I didn't do it cause I didn't want to do the fates. That's very annoying. I'm going to be quite unhappy if they decide to pull a "what a long, strange trip it's been".

The achievement: Cold As Ice?
If that is the one you are talking about, it was never hidden. They just put the Seasonal Event Achievements under Seasonal Events (Quests -> Seasonal Events).

All of the holiday events have achievements associated with them that only appear once they've been completed. They've recently changed this as I recall seeing it in the patch notes at some point. I think its so that if you missed an event it doesn't show up in your achievements list as something you can never complete. While it is a long way off, its possible the same achievement will be obtainable next year during the starlight celebration.

I believe it was in one of the patch notes that they changed the seasonal events to hidden in that they only show up if you've done them. In the future it might be best to just assume there's an achievement for any type of special event (if achievements matter to you at all, that is).

Interesting. Then I stand corrected. I've always checked my log and that's how I've known that there was an achievement associated with the event.
