New Raid Suggestion: FFVIII Lunatic Pandora

I think it's safe to say that the arrival of Crystal Tower soothed the fires of nostalgia that burns within a great deal of players in A Realm Reborn. I say keep it going; add more raids based off of previous Final Fantasy locations.

Considering Square Enix is, in fact, the actual developers of Final Fantasy, I give my sincere trust that, should they make Lunatic Pandora, they wouldn't disappoint me. However I think it'll be fun sharing thoughts about it's details.

Here's mine:

1 - Since Crystal Tower is an Allagan relic, maybe it could be possible that Lunatic Pandora is an Ascian stronghold that is highly protected by stationed voidsent, perhaps to protect a secret, or something really important.

2 - Weather it is for boss fight(s) or just normal 'raid music', I would love to see a fitting remixed version of 'Only a Plank Between One and Perdition', I think that would be awesome raid music ( and also to my best of memory, this battle tune has yet to receive an official remix anyway ).

3 - Have the final boss be Sorceress Adel, or if that's too much, a generic sorceress-type enemy. I think that a Sorceress character really fits the evil theme of the Ascians.

4 - Since Atomos made an appearence in Crystal Tower, maybe we can see another canon appearence, something that will fit the voidsent theme like Diablos or Shinryu.

That's all I can think of for now...

Coil = Spaceship, so we'll be going to the moon soon.

Kefka's Tower would be pretty cool, and certainly fits with the Magitek theme. Crystal Tower already uses the "split raid party" mechanic though...and it wouldn't really be Kefka's tower without the evil jerk himself standing at the top.

While the whole tower thing could become overdone, I would love to see the tower of babel from ff4 or at least some of the bosses.

Ipsen's Castle would be a fun mechanic, where switching to Lv. 1 weapons would be equivalent to having relics equipped.

Im not really a fan of bringing back very specific locations from past FF games. The reason why Crystal Tower works so well is because it can exist in many world, whereas Kefkas tower is being a little too specific. Lunatic Pandora though, that idea is brilliant. Again, while Lunatic pandora was exclusive to FFVIII world, but its purpose can really be used in any FF world and that can be brought over in the same manner as the crystal tower. Great suggestion by the OP imo

If we're going strictly by fit, the Magitek Research Facility makes the most sense. Not a particularly aesthetically pleasing location, but then neither is Lunatic Pandora.

Game i used to play had a cave with a similar mechanic instead of gear though it was the mobs that had the stats switched always made me laugh to see groups of high level/geared players running for their lives from a deer.

Lunatic Pandora could easily be tied into the lore as an Allagan or Ascian construct of unknown purpose. Since cross-overs seem to be unpopular, instead of Adel, the final boss could be another one of Ivalice's espers, maybe Zeromus or Shemhazai.

I like.

Another one from VIII could be the deep sea research facility. We have oceans and the base could be abandoned to avoid a rehash of imperial battles. Ultima makes his appearance there in VIII and it could be an amazing stage for Omega. Only thing to leave out would be the bahamut bit at the start, even ruby dragons could show up!
