Gear switching possibly?

I was wondering if the possibility of gear stats switching was in the air or a discussed at a certain point. I'm fine with myth cap and the effort to farm myth gear. Only thing that really exhausts me is the idea of farming full myth for other classes.
My take on the whole thing is, if class switching is available on one character, why not gear? Compared to Blizzard entertainment and the most recent resigned Ghostcrawler saying he doesn't really approve of helping alts gear up faster and not seeing a reason for alts to be as geared as mains, Square Enix is more supportive of the Altaholic no?
I still frequent MMO-Champ on the latest buzz and with the announcement of WoD (Rehashed Outlands? lol) Blizzard has mentioned stat changes on gear when you switch Specializations (NO MORE FARMING 2ND SETS!).
And I was just wondering what the stance was for Myth gear stats switching?
For IE: My myth/DL pieces on my WHM would switch to PLD Myth/DL

In before "But then you'd get bored and quit".

The only thing that would be a downplay of this is the time sink. I would still have to Level up the 2nd class and learn how to play. I would also still have to invest the time into gearing the main class which would be my WHM.
If this feature was implemented exactly like Blizzards, it would only benefit SMN/SCH since that is the only class with differnt specializations (Jobs).

The best way to make your idea work is to allow items being able to trade back for tomes.

The idea is nice, but SE's goal is to keep the players playing. And with that said, they want to slow players progression to achieve that goal.

Being able to get a partial refund for tomestone gear you don't need anymore wouldn't be too unreasonable, it kind of sucks to have that stuff take up inventory space when there's nothing else you can do with it. It shouldn't be big though, 50% refund at most. then you save *some* time without it being a total freebie-a-thon.

The thing is, the whole "we don't want to implement things to keep subs" card is no longer a viable excuse.
With the purchase of the new World Of Warcraft expansion Warlords Of Draenor you get a free level 90 character of any class.
The only thing being discussed is having the ability to get multiple free 90's on diffrent game accounts under the Battle.net account.
You are allowed to x-fer characters to any account under the main Battle.net account.

Just my opinion...that is not a good idea. You have to earn each jobs gear...no short-cutting it....that would totally break the game in some aspects.Since the gear is storable in the Armoire there is no issue of space.

You actually can't store Darklight or AF+1 gear in the Armoire.

The only gear you can get a refund for was GC gear I think. Everything else are just that.

Personally I don't like the idea of a gear-once-use-everywhere design. The game is already super friendly towards playing multiple jobs. In certain other games, if you want two jobs at max gear, you gotta grind the tokens for both of them since they're on different characters. In FFXIV, you can have 1 fully geared job taking care of all the myth collection you ever need.

Inventory space is a valid concern, but not a valid justification for myth refund. The obvious solution is to allow Darklight and AF+1 to go into the Armoire, a simple change that doesn't affect gear acquisition game balance while completely resolving the inventory concern.
