If Jobs were...

So here is the question...

If Gladiator, Pugilist, Marauder, Lancer, Archer, Thaumaturge, and Conjurer were to get their 2nd Jobs through Major Update by City State Update patterns will you be mad or happy?

For Example:

2.X or 3.X Lisma Lominsa Major Update get Marauder 2nd Job just for the sake of only releasing 1 new Job to start it out.

then

2.2X or 3.2X Gridania Major Update Archer, Conjurer, and Lancer get 2nd Jobs

then

2.3X or 3.3X Ul'dah Major Update Gladiator, Thaumaturge, and Pugilists get 2nd Jobs

It's exactly what is planned. Mad or not, development time is not gonna expand or be different. Delayed at best. :rolleyes:

Hoping i understood the dumb game:

If i want to roll a protector class do i need to level whm and sch to 50 then go to Ulduah (where the class is supposed to be available if both class are 50 , a 3rd capital to mix the pot ) ?

I think you're going a bit too ahead of FF14 life but most likely yes a Protector class will need to have WHM or SCH but depending on the class/job it may either be a Tank Role or a Healer Role if they go into Advance Class/Jobs that will require certain class/jobs to unlock. However, we probably won't see this until Post 1st Expansion Major updates or until the 2nd FF14ARR expansion pack or during Post 2nd Expansion Major Update since they need to get 2nd Jobs for current classes out of the way first.

I wouldn't care as long we get more jobs @.@

What are the guilds in Limsa?

If GLD gets a second Job, it can't be a Tank job, I know that. Perhaps... Dark Knight? Sacrificing HP to increase damage output? Makes sense, especially since it's always analogous to the Paladin.
If MRD gets a second Job, it's gonna be Berserker. I have absolutely no doubt about that, especially considering how WARs are already structured around something resembling Berserk. Also, WAR is already a Tank class, and Berserker would be its DPS equivalent.

PUG already has MNK, so its second Job would be one that also uses fist weapons or claws. My mind automatically goes to Blackbelt (Kick and Focus, anyone?). And considering that Blackbelts and Monks are normally supposed to have HP values obscenely higher than any other class/job in any game ever, Blackbelt could be a Tank.

LNC... literally the only other Job I can think of that actually uses Lances besides Dragoons are Samurai, which could provide LNC with a Tank class.

ARCs already have Bards, which provide some nice support abilities. I don't think Archers would get another DPS job. If they did, they'd obviously get either Ranger or Beastmaster. Honestly have no idea. What I do know is that ARC's second Job should be a Healer Job, especially considering that their LB is the Healer LB. Maybe Chemist?

THMs have the obvious BLM, my only guess if they don't go with the DPS route would be to find some way to give them Time Mage, and have Umbral Ice / Astral Fire be integral in using Time Magic to heal, namely with its own versions of Regen, Life, Cure, and obviously having Haste and Slow as well.

CNJ would obviously get a DPS job to offset their healy WHM job. I'm thinking Sage, Geomancer, or Oracle.


As for whether or not I'd be happy with how they do it... it honestly makes no difference to me. Have a MNK already, leveling a WAR, moving on to THM and CNJ next, then leveling ACN into SCH and SMN so I have all of my role bases covered, then going back to level other things, like WHM, BLM, BRD, DRG, etc.
