Anyway to change the overhead text (names etc) in anyway? I want to make it smaller.. I'm running at 1920x1080 and I've checked in HUD settings and have altered the rest of my hud how I wanted to (control + home)

No way to change it (that I have found anyway). I'd also love to change the chat text font to make it even smaller - like 10 points but I can't do that :(
The chat text font can be changed in system -> character settings, but I don't remember what the smallest size is.
EDIT: Yeah it looks like the smallest size is 12
