Can we have cross-server friend/tell support already?

Queued up for DD and as soon as it started, the tank went in, grabbed a bunch of mobs, died, and left after saying, "lol have fun noobs." The queue time was already 40m and no replacement tank was coming in, so we tried running through with just healer and 2 DPS. We died a few times but made it all the way to the last boss. We even got it down to 33% before we wiped (because I messed up and mismanaged cooldowns ><). Then it turned out the BRD mained tank, so he left and joined in progress and helped us clear, even though he had no obligation to and couldn't even get the completion exp for his BRD. Overall, we just wanted to see how far we could get, and we had a good time.

It's rare for me to find people like them through duty finder, so imagine my disappointment when I looked them up and found they were both on another server. The chances of me meeting them or talking to them again are pretty much 0.

Please add some cross-server functionalities, at least within each data cluster. It just makes no sense to allow interactions through duty finder and then completely sever them.

The friend/chat idea is a good one too, but Party Finder is the most important feature that needs cross server support. Too few players online on some servers, to actually form a group (except for a couple of hours in the evening when the server is most active)

That would imply we are playing a new game in 2014, and not stuck in an MMO from the early 2000s...

The technology and idea is too futuristic.
