Recruitment or Friend Referral Program suggestion

Would you consider implementing a Trial Account or a Referral program? Maybe let players who have paid to play for at least 3 months refer a friend (using emails or alpha numeric codes) to play a trial version of the game for free for a week?

I have several friends that would like try FFXIV out, but don't want to commit to a purchase due to the short comings of 1.0 and general complaints of customer service revolving around the 2.0 Beta and ARR launch. I think they would really enjoy it, but I don't have the money to buy them each a copy.

Maybe enable some of WoW's safeguards on trial accounts if you decide to go with (ex no Auction House use)
