Vanity, Crafters possible Salvation

With the new addition of a vanity system, we may finally see crafters get some more purpose after all.

Let me explain, since we can put whatever gear we want on our characters in vanity slots, SE can potentially put new crafting recipes for crafters that make outfits that just look COOL, or cute and whatnot. By having this "Cool" gear only accessible by disciple of hand, we can finally have gatherers and crafters have more of a purpose. This is primarily because Vanity knows no level and is just a part of the game, so anyone and everyone can buy "Cool" gear. Always a market regardless of level is what I'm getting at lol.

Thoughts?

From what I understand, the vanity system will no longer be what was originally planned - it's going to be a more restricted 'transmogrification' system where you physically change one piece of armour's appearance to another. And that there will be restrictions on it in that you can't change a mage robe's appearance to heavy armour or vice versa. This was mentioned in one of the recent Live letters if I remember rightly, but I'll try finding the transcript for it and post it here.
