Using mats from retainer banks

Not sure where to put this post, but I wanted to know if there was any information about being able to craft recipes using mats from the retainer banks instead of looking at what is needed for the recipe, going to a summon bell, selecting one of two retainers, realizing that you selected the wrong retainer with the wrong type of mats, log out of that one and log in to the other, and then forget what was needed to craft the item.

It took Rift about one and half years to implement a QoL thing where the mats came directly out of the bank space.

I'm hoping something like this can be implemented in to FFXIV soon.

Man Rift had some good QoL things, your suggestion being my utmost favorite. It was just so surprisingly simple and unexpected, but a fantastic addition. I often comment to FC or ingame clients that looking through my bags and retainers for materials is "crafter endgame".

+ 1 it is a puzzle with the 2 retainers. Mine are both almost completely filled and searching for particular items is a pain in the butt. Often I farm items and 2 days later I see I have a full stack in one of my retainers lol. So crafting without having to go through the mess that's called retainer inventory would be greatly appreciated.

This might be a viable option if/when housing implements crafting workshops.

I love this idea. I'd love to see it expanded with a system like Guild Wars 2 has, where your crafting materials can be deposited from anywhere and don't take space up in your bag, which is at such a precious premium in this game because of having multiple jobs.

+1 Yes this could save me a ton of cash, I can't hold all the mats I need to craft with and more times then most I go out and buy more mats than I need because I could not find them in my retainer.

I love this idea. I'm not sure it's technically possible with the current game engine though, it seems very simplified and limited. Hopefully SE will work on it more to make it a bit more dynamic because it feels unfinished.
